Don’t miss the new Frances-Anne Solomon Film screening at the BFI this May. Frances’s innovative film making brings archive footage and drama to tell the remarkable story of this Caribbean war hero-jurist-diplomat.

Trinidadian Ulric Cross had a distinguished career as a soldier, jurist and diplomat in a life that spanned momentous political change in the 20th century. Archive footage and drama are used to tell the story of his extraordinary life: a story that encompasses WWII, African independence movements, Black Power and the rise of a new brand of black leadership around the world, events that define our present reality. The BFI will host the UK premiere and welcome special guests to the BFI stage. Please check back for updates on guests.
