CineFAM Introduces “Limitless”

Toronto, OnCineFAM announced the creation of its “Limitless” training program. “Limitless” was created to advance emerging and mid-level career women and female-identifying Black filmmakers.

The training program is funded by FedDev Ontario and will begin February 2023. CineFam, founded by award winning filmmaker and Academy member Frances-Anne Solomon, was established in 2016 to support bold, original stories by women and non-binary creators of colour around the globe. The “Limitless” program is one more step supporting that mandate.

The “Limitless” program will include workshops and mentorship sessions with industry professionals aiming at helping and training participants to prepare a full project package. The training includes how to package and prepare a proof of concept for film & TV projects. After completing these packages, they will have the opportunity to meet seasoned producers to pitch their projects. The participants will also have a chance to competee at CineFam’s annual highly anticipated Big Pitch event during TIFF.
