CineFAM Film Festival is back for its 9th year, celebrating limitless imagination and daring, original films by Canadian women and non-binary creators of colour! Join us from November 6-8, 2025, at The Hub, 837 Dundas St. W., Toronto, as we journey through this year’s theme: Threads of Identity.
CineFAM 2025 invites audiences to explore the stories that connect us to our past and shape who we are today. From ancestral lineage and heritage to the ever-shifting journey of self-discovery, our films examine how identity is uncovered, layer by layer, through love, loss, memory, and imagination. These films ask: Who are we if we don’t know who we are?

Plus look out for our ShopTalk series returning this month. ShopTalk is a video series that further amplifies the voices of Canadian women and non-binary filmmakers of colour. The popular program encourages filmmakers to talk about diversity in the film industry and to share their challenges, further exploring how this influences their filmmaking. CineFAM ShopTalk conversations reveal commonalities across Canada, as well as region-specific experiences.
